The Fire of Strife in the Church

He Hath Said

“If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed therewith; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.”-Exodus 22:6

But what restitution can he make who casts abroad the fire-brands of error, or the coals of lasciviousness, and sets men’s souls on a blaze with the fire of hell? The guilt is beyond estimate, and the result is irretrievable. If such an offender be forgiven, what grief it will cause him in the retrospect, since he cannot undo the mischief which he has done! An ill example may kindle a flame which years of amended character cannot quench. To burn the food of man is bad enough, but how much worse to destroy the soul! It may be useful to us to reflect how far we may have been guilty in the past, and to…

Lord, Be Among Us!

He Hath Said

And the Word became flesh and dwelt amongus, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. -John 1:14

If the Lord be among us, the consequences will be, first, the conservation of true doctrine. The true God is not with a lie: He will not give His countenance to falsehood. Those who preach other than according to His word, abide not under His blessing; but are in great danger of His curse. If any man speak another gospel (which is not another, but there be some that trouble us), God is not with him, and any transient prosperity which he may enjoy, will be blown away as the chaff. God is with those who speak the truth faithfully, hold it devoutly, believe it firmly, and live upon it as their daily bread. May it always, be…

What Secret Rapture?

Terry James Prophecy Line

One of the invectives employed to denigrate the pre-Trib Rapture view continues, and grows more angry in expression. The charge is that we who believe the pre-Trib view as truth from God’s Word claim there will be a secret Rapture.

We are, those who oppose the pre-Trib view say, ignoring the prophecy that “every eye shall see him” when Christ returns at the end of the Tribulation (Daniel’s seventieth week). It is clear, they proclaim, that God will gather the elect from the four points of Heaven upon the Second Advent. There is, they adamantly declare, only one Second Coming of Christ, not two phases of that great event as we believe Scripture teaches.

While listening to a TV preacher the other day, I heard this charge and a number of others. But the scriptural basis for his accusation that we who believe and teach the pre-Trib Rapture are false teachers came…

The Separated State

Come, ye children of God, you must stand out with your Lord outside the camp. Jesus calls to you to-day, and says, “Follow Me.” Was Jesus found at the theater? Did He frequent the sports of the racecourse? Was Jesus seen, think you, in any of the amusements of the Herodian court? Not He. He was “holy, harmless, undefiled, and separate from sinners.” In one sense no one mixed with sinners so completely as He did when, like a physician, He went among them healing His patients; but in another sense there was a gulf fixed between the men of the world and the Savior which He never essayed to cross, and which they could not cross to defile Him. The first lesson which the church has to learn is this: Follow Jesus into the separated state, and He will make you fishers of men. Unless you take up your cross and protest against an ungodly world, you cannot hope that the holy Jesus will make you fishers of men.~ C.H. Spurgeon

Bethel Redding sister church that worshiped Mother Goddess to feature speakers aligned with “The Shack”

The Word Like Fire

And when we burned incense to the Queen of heaven and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men? (Jeremiah 44:9)

If there is one church that absolutely doesn’t need  any more confusion about the biblical God, it is Bethesda NW. On Mother’s Day, the congregation worshiped the Mother Goddess. (Read) The blasphemous idea of El Shaddai as the Double Breasted One was introduced in early January of 2019. (Read)

It was stated in an earlier article:

The unclean spirit behind the goddess of The Shack, the novel written by Paul Young, is still at work. It seems more than coincidental that Bethesda NW, a Bethel Redding sister church,* uses Young’s hellish interpretation of El Shaddai; and just like in the novel, the Holy Spirit has also been feminized, addressed in the service…
